‘AT HALF PAST THREE, EVERYTHING STOPS FOR TEA’

23rd August 2017

Need a little pick me up? Feeling a little weary? Why not take a break and indulge in little bit of British tradition. From a special treat to a welcome break from a hectic days shopping our afternoon tea will hit the spot.

Anna Maria Russell, Duchess of Bedford is thought to have been the inventor of afternoon tea in the mid 1840’s at a time when most people only had two meals a day (breakfast and a late dinner around 8pm). She’s reported to have complained of ‘having that sinking feeling’ late afternoon. The remedy to that sinking feeling was a pot a tea and a light snack, taken privately in her boudoir

A while later friends were  invited to join her and fashionable society caught onto the craze. Fast forward and here we are at Cinnamon Bazaar, but we couldn’t just serve you Afternoon Tea, we’ve given it a twist and are proud to serve you our Traders High Chai.

Freshly brewed masala chai, flavoursome nibbles including Bhangra Lamb slider, to Aloo Tikki Chart and indulgent Carrot Halwa Roll

Available Monday to Sunday from 3pm to 5.30pm
